1# Our Tool Kit

These Are the Apps That Power Our Clothing Brand (And Keep Things Looking Good)

Running a clothing brand takes vision, creativity, organization, and just the right amount of caffeine. But behind every well-styled launch and smooth sale is a lineup of trusted apps that help us stay on track and ahead of the game. These are some of our go-to tools — the digital backbone of our business. Of course, we use more than what’s listed here, but this is the core crew that keeps things moving.

Business: The Backbone

Let’s start with the essentials — the apps that keep our business operations running like a well-oiled machine:

  • Square: Our trusty point-of-sale app. Whether we’re at a market, a pop-up, or in our studio space, Square makes it simple to sell, track, and connect with customers in real time.

  • QuickBooks: Finances, taxes, and tracking expenses — QuickBooks handles the money side of things so we can stay focused on the creative.

  • Sortly: Inventory can get messy fast. Sortly keeps our products organized, tracked, and accessible. It's the difference between “we think we have that in stock” and “yes, it’s on the shelf — second bin, left side.”

  • Zen Business: Legal documents, compliance, and getting the business officially off the ground — Zen Business helped us set the foundation right.

  • Google Sheets: The unsung hero of planning. From production timelines to vendor lists, Sheets is where we map out our madness in rows and columns.

  • Gusto: Payroll, benefits, onboarding — Gusto takes care of our team with ease, which means we can focus on the brand, not the paperwork.

Marketing: The Creative Core

When it comes to creativity, branding, and content — these tools help us bring our vision to life:

  • ComfyUI: A creative powerhouse for generating unique concepts, assets, and visual ideas using AI. It helps us push the envelope and experiment with bold directions.

  • Adobe Suite: From Photoshop to Illustrator and Premiere Pro, Adobe Suite is where our professional-grade content is built. It’s the creative standard — and for good reason.

  • Procreate: When inspiration hits on-the-go (or on the couch, let’s be real), Procreate is our go-to for sketching, concepting, and bringing raw ideas to life. It’s intuitive, responsive, and makes the iPad feel like a portable studio.

  • Blender: When we dive into 3D product modeling or want to bring a new visual concept to life, Blender gives us serious range and control.

  • Canva: Fast, intuitive, and reliable — Canva is great for day-to-day content like stories, promo graphics, and campaign layouts. We use it constantly.

  • Instagram: This is our stage. It’s where we share new releases, connect with our audience, and showcase the heart of the brand.

  • Dropbox: A clean, organized archive of our files, assets, campaigns, and collabs. If it matters, it’s in our Dropbox.

Commerce: Where It All Comes Together

Here’s where the designs meet the customer — and where all the behind-the-scenes work pays off:

  • Faire: A key platform for wholesale. Faire helps us reach boutiques and retailers who align with our aesthetic and values. It’s made expanding into new spaces much more seamless.

  • Shopify: The command center of our direct-to-consumer store. Shopify gives us flexibility, tools, and insights — and it scales as we grow.

  • Etsy: We have a special place in our hearts for Etsy — it’s where we got our start. The community, the creativity, the support — it shaped who we are as a brand. We still maintain our presence there because it continues to be a space where craftsmanship and connection matter.

Know Your Strengths — and Sharpen the Rest

One thing we’ve learned: understanding what you’re great at (and what you’re not yet great at) is essential. No one builds a brand alone. That’s why we lean on tools, tech, and the people who help us grow. We’re always refining our systems, learning new skills, and getting more dialed in — because being a creative brand means staying flexible, curious, and open to evolution.

We don’t rely on tech to replace the human side of what we do — we use it to enhance it. These apps help us stay agile, creative, and connected to what matters most: building a brand that resonates.
